
City Parks
The City of Parksville has three large parks, the Community Park, Springwood Park, and Top Bridge Park, as well as 28 Neighbourhood Parks. The neighbourhood parks vary in size and facilities, from small open space to a park with children's play area, trails, and basketball hoops.
| Established in 1963. Size: 15.7 ha (39 acres). Parkville's premier municipal park with beach frontage. Various festivals and sports events are held throughout the year (e.g. sandcastle competition festival, kite festival, Brant geese festival). Facilities: Beach, concession facilities, washrooms, children's play park and water park, outside shower, flower displays, varied tree collection, sports field, tennis courts, volleyball courts, waterfront walkway, group picnic shelter, skateboard park, parking at strategic locations with picnic tables throughout the park. A bookable group picnic shelter and a beach-front gazebo are available for parties or weddings. |

Facilities: There are numerous smaller neighbourhood parks throughout the city with varying degrees of facilities. Foster Park is one of the most prominent at 2.72 ha (6.7 acres). It's facilities include a children's play area, trails system, gazebo/picnic facilities and public washrooms. |
